Welding Special Application

Welding is a process that joins materials, usually metals, by melting and is commonly used in industries such as construction, shipbuilding and automotive manufacture. Welding processes employed include GMAW (MIG/MAG), FCAW, GTAW (TIG), MMAW, laser welding etc and UV radiation, and there is an additional need for electro-magnetic compatibility. Products meeting Welding special application requirements are tested for performance against resistance to hot particles, hot surfaces and field of vision for welding.

For products meeting AS/NZS 1716, refer to the manufacturer to confirm that the selected product/s as suitable for the intended Welding tasks and/or environments.
